About Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles that are predominant today. In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive “stress” on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body. Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, Primarily between the navel and the knees. Energetically, Yin Yoga opens the body's meridian system, which enhances the body's energetic flow and supports emotional equilibrium. And as this practice emphasizes stillness and silence, Yin Yoga prepares both the body and the mind for deeper experiences in meditation.


The Training

The Yin Yoga Teacher Training is a comprehensive training designed for teachers interested in learning the anatomic and energetic theories of the practice. This training is divided into three components:


- Theory and Practice of Yin Yoga

- Yin Yoga Anatomy

- Chinese Medicine (Meridians module)



This training is open to all levels of practitioners, particularly those wanting to teach Yin Yoga, acquire a better understanding of Chinese meridians, delve deeper into the study of Yoga Anatomy, or simply wanting to deepen their yin practice. No pre-requisite is required. A keen and sincere interest to learn is key.

- 20 main Yin Yoga Poses

- Props usage in Yin Yoga

- Modifications and safety in Yin Yoga

B) Yin Yoga Anatomy

- 14 joints segment analysis

- Tension and Compression

- Function and Aesthetics

- Proportion and Orientation

- Skeletal variation analysis

- 4 myofascial compartments of the thigh

- 6 myofascial compartments of the torso

- 3 layers of a joint

- Fascial contracture

- Fascia studies and meridians relationship

- Movement tests analysis


C) Chinese Medicine (Meridians module)

- Fundamentals of Chinese Medicine

- The visceral (Zang Fu) system

- Meridians and the Viscerals (Zang Fu)

- Meridians and the Emotions

- Meridian pathways

- Meridian Detox clock

Full participation of the training is required in order to obtain the I.Y.F Certification and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education contact hours.
